Vuillaume Influence
Influence of J.B. Viullaume his master
Ludwig Neuner trained with Gabriel Lemboch (the best late 19th century Viennese luthier) before working six years for J .B. Vuillaume.
This magnificent example of his Berlin period work shows the direct influence of Vuillaume. Tonally it is comparable to the finest Parisian cellos of the period. The broadly flamed maple, fine workmanship, and excellent condition present a striking visual image. The big clear sound of this “Forma B” Stradivarius model cello is ideal for concerto and competition playing.
